Bounty Hunter babe or scary freak? It says on starwars.com that she is a former Jedi. Anyone know what the deal is there?

I heard she was a former jedi padawan who turned to the dark side and now she hunts and kills jedi for fun. I think she's freaky, but still a babe. Too bad I shall have to exterminate her, should ever our paths cross....

FYI she "comes back" in Tempest, which is about 40 ABY. I think it's implied she is an immortal vampire of some sort.
