Okay, yes, the movie was terrific, a princess in peril (yeah, yeah, queen, but what rhymes with Q?), a child champion, a few wise old dudes, and a new and hot juicy jedi!!!
I will now lay it down bare...

1. Liam Neeson was the best.
2. Natalie Portman was awesome.
3. Jake Lloyd was soooo cute! I want one!
4. I have a gun with Jar Jar's name on it.
5. And all Ewan McGregor did was stand around looking fine, and that was good enough for me!!! (It was the braid, man...the braid just did it for me. And the accent..SLAP)

Obi-Wan didn't play a major role in the movie, but I think Ewan McGregor did a great job portraying a young Obi-Wan. Liam Neeson could have done a better job, In my opinion. I don't think he was fully into the character. He had the voice and mannerisms of a narrator, with the emotional level of a stereo manual. One could argue that it's just the character, but I don't think so. Jar Jar was okay, although he had too much screen time.

Portman was great, and I loved Pernilla August too. She was awesome as Shmi Skywalker, and made up for Jake's lame lines.

I hate Jar Jar. Star Wars can do without all of those pathetic attempts at humor.

Hey, now. I like Jar-Jar. When you first see the film, it is so unusual for a Star Wars film to have a character like that that it appears at first that he takes up much more screen time than he actually does. After seeing the film three times, I feel that Jar-Jar fit in quite well with the rest of the character and had a nice balance.

I like Liam Neeson as an actor, and I loved him as Qui-Gon. His performance was very subtle and I think it fit the character perfectly. Of course, producer Rick McCallun did say that Neeson seemed like he was in a daze for a few days simply because he was acting on blue-screen sound stages and talking to imaginary characters. It takes a very special actor to be able to perform under these circumstances. (For an example of how not to do this, witness Brad Pitt's performance in "Cool World". Now Brad Pitt is an excellent actor, but he did a terrible job in that movie.)

I do think there might be some PM actors nominated for best actor.

Mine would be the guy who played Jabba the Hutt. He looked so life like! Just kidding I know he is a cgi.

How about Liam Neeson or Natalie Portman.

Natalie did the best she brought out alot of emotion in a character that looked tough to play, man i almost cried when i saw her face in the senate. great actors need to be able to show there emotion and be in character and she fits the profile, wait i cannot for ep2 and ep3 might cry thou if they show her die or her give away luke
Liam is next
then Ewan
then Pernilla
followed clsly by...Jake
laging behind Ian
sam
frank oz
and that odd jar jar character

I hated Jar Jar at first too but I watched it a bunch more and then I realized it: he was there to make the Jedi traveling scenes a lot less boring. That's why he was there, bad comic relief but comic relief nonetheless. If you ask me, Captain Panaka was a lot more annoying.

Something I thought made TPM not as good as the original three is the fact that you (well, at least I) couldn't watch it over and over again. I mean, the first time I saw it I thought it was really cool, but the second time through I was bored. And I absolutely hated Liam Neeson's and Natalie Portman's acting. I've never seen them in any other movie, so they might not always be that bad, but they both seemed pretty unemotional to me.

Ewan was the best in the movie, he didn't have to many lines, but I just love his braid! And pony tail! He also did a killer light saber fight, which was the best part
of the movie! Gotta love'em!

Liam was also very good in the move, but he didn't fight as good a Ewan in the light saber fight!

Natalie sucked, she had the worst lines and couldn't even say them in a way that sounded right. Mostly as
Padma bad job at being padma, she was pretty good at playing Queen Amidala, wearing that big head peice that she probley fell over wearing more then once.

Jake was great, he was just so cute! (in a little kid way)

I liked Jar Jar, he wasn't funny and I couldn't even understand what he was saying, but I liked him.

Why is it that a lot of these older threads the usernames don't show up? One of those posters is obviously Yoda2Riz.
